Adjust the application and skills of filling speed of each cavity

In a mold with multiple cavities, the filling speed of each cavity is often uneven (unbalanced), and some cavities feed fast, and some slow molds. In this way, the injection molded parts with fast filling are prone to problems such as batching, top whitening and trapped gas, while those with slow glue feeding are prone to shrinkage or uneven material.

The two are mutually restrictive, and when the unevenness is serious, it will become very difficult to adjust the machine, and some skills need to be used to solve these contradictory problems at the same time.

Adjusting the filling speed of each cavity is often used by some senior technicians to solve a variety of difficult problems in production, and at the same time, ordinary technicians can easily control production, and do not need to spend too much energy to adjust the machine and maintain production, which is the best way to solve the problem.

Therefore, learning to flexibly use this skill to solve problems is the only way for ordinary technicians to improve the level of injection molding technology.

In general, increasing the inlet and flow path can increase the injection pressure and velocity of the cavity. On the contrary, it plays a role in reducing pressure and speed. With this method, the filling speed of each cavity can be easily adjusted.

In real production, we can apply the following adjustment techniques to solve different problems or problems according to different needs.

First of all, the water inlet of each cavity can be adjusted to be uneven, so that each cavity requires different pressures and speeds to solve its own problems at the same time. It is often the case that the pressure or velocity of one cavity is expected to be a little higher, while the pressure and velocity of other cavities cannot be increased together, and sometimes it may be lowered.

For example, if the injection molded parts of a cavity have clips or air lines, the problem of slowing down the injection speed will be solved, but the other cavity has the problem of uneven material delivery or shrinkage, so it is necessary to slow down the filling speed of the cavity with air lines or air lines, or speed up the uneven material delivery or shrinkage.

Secondly, the filling speed of each cavity is adjusted to uniformity, so that the injection molded parts of each cavity can fill the cavity almost at the same time, so as to solve the problem of both batch and uneven material caused by uneven filling mentioned above.

In addition, the filling speed of each cavity can be adjusted to uniformity, and multiple identical injection molded parts of the same mold can be transferred at the same position in multi-stage injection, so as to solve the same injection molding problem at the same time, otherwise there will be a problem that can be solved in this one piece, and that one cannot be solved.

Solving the problem of each cavity at the same time by adjusting the filling speed has also become a very important skill and means in injection molding production, which may also be one of the methods often referred to as "molding".
