Analysis of PA, PA66, PA6, MC Nylon, PA610, Transparent Nylon

Commonly known as nylon, scientific name polyamide

Abbreviated as PA, English name NYLON

Introduction: PA is a general term for polyamide plastics, which have amide groups in their structure and similar properties. Its overall appearance feature is that it is a type of tough, horny material that ranges from slightly yellow transparent to opaque. General nylon is crystalline plastic, but there are also amorphous transparent nylon.

Combustion characteristics:

Slow burning, can continue to burn or slowly extinguish after leaving the flame. The upper end of the flame is golden yellow, and the lower end is blue. During combustion, the material melts and drips, bubbles, and emits a smell of burnt feathers or nails.

advantage

The commonality of PA machinery is toughness, which has high surface hardness, tensile strength, impact resistance, fatigue resistance, and folding resistance.

PA has high wear resistance, can self lubricate, and is noisy.

PA is heat-resistant and cold resistant, ensuring high mechanical performance even in cold and hot seasons

PA is resistant to drugs and oil corrosion. Resistance to stress cracking.

PA is easy to print, easy to dye, and has excellent electrical performance.

Disadvantages:

The biggest drawback of PA is its poor dimensional accuracy, and its thermal expansion and water absorption have a significant impact on its size;

PA has poor acid resistance and cannot be dyed with acidic dyes, nor can it be exposed to excessive acidic substances.

PA has poor light resistance and pollution resistance.

purpose

Production of bearings, gears, wheels, shaft rollers, water pump impellers, fan blades, oil pipes, storage pipes, ropes, fishing nets, transformer coils

Injection molding features:

Due to the presence of amide groups, PA has strong and firm water absorption. Therefore, during injection molding, it should be thoroughly dried, usually at 120 ℃ for 3-4 hours; PA has low viscosity and fast flow rate. To prevent nozzle flow, self-locking nozzles or nylon specialized nozzles should be used. Meanwhile, attention should be paid to the accuracy of the mold.
